50/50 SIDEWALK REPLACEMENT PROGRAM
This program is open to City of Fountain homeowners on a first-come-first-served basis, and will end each year once funds allocated for the current budget have been exhausted. Applicants are responsible for 50% of the total cost.
The City will remove damaged sidewalks that have sunk, buckled, or have surfaces that have deteriorated to unsafe conditions; the City’s contractor will then install the new sidewalk.
Once an application has been submitted by the homeowner, the City will review it and contact the homeowner to schedule an evaluation of the worksite location. A representative of the City will take measurements and calculate the total cost of each project. Once the evaluation and cost calculations have been completed, an agreement will be mailed to the homeowner. The agreement will need to be signed and returned to our office, along with payment (check/cash) for half of the total cost. Once payment is received the homeowner will be contacted to schedule the repairs. All work will be contracted and managed by the City of Fountain. (Actual construction work will start in the Spring and may extend to the Fall.)
The 2024 50/50 Sidewalk Program has filled up for this budget season, and no more applications will be accepted in 2024. Homeowners who wish to take part in the 2025 program can obtain an application for future submission by downloading it or picking it up from City Hall, located at 116 South Main Street, Fountain, CO 80817. The next round of applications will commence in January 2025 for the upcoming program.
Completed applications can be dropped off to the above location, faxed to the number on the application, or emailed to Public Works Management Assistant.
