The Water Department's normal business hours are from 8:00 a.m. to Water Department4:30 p.m., Monday thru Friday (excluding holidays or adverse weather conditions).  The Water Department is physically located at 301 East Iowa in the Lorraine Center (west door); however, the mailing address for the Water Department is: City of Fountain, Attention: Water Department, 116 South Main Street, Fountain, CO 80817.

WHAT CLASSIFIES AN EMERGENCY? Emergency situations include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Water surfacing or pooling creating damage to streets or yards;Phone

  • No water available - (Home Owner did not cancel their service or   request for a water shut-off);

  • Discolored water that has a foul order;

  • Flooding; or

  • Needing water shut-off for emergency repairs by Home Owner due to water leaking inside the home.

NON-EMERGENCY SITUATIONS are situations that can be taken care of during normal business hours, which include:

  • Sprinkler System problems;

  • Need water shut-off for normal repairs;

  • Need water turned-on for moving in or shut-off for moving out;

  • Request water meter installation;

  • Raise or lower water stop box;

  • Air in water pipes (due to cloudy water); or

  • Low water pressure.
