As we transition from the summer heat, to all the activities of kids going back to school, and now with the holidays right around the corner, I'd like to highlight a few of the fun things going on in Fountain during the fall. The annual Trunk or Treat is back again this year on October 28. Bring your kids to downtown Fountain and after having fun collecting treats from the trunks of decorated cars, enjoy a Halloween (kid friendly) movie on the lawn in front of City Hall. October 29 is the Nightmare on Main Street Dance put on by Fountain Up. This evening of music, costumes and food trucks, and is always a fun evening!! The city Tree Lighting Ceremony will be at City Hall again this year on November 18th from 6-7pm and is a fun way to kick off the winter season and visit with Santa.
Speaking of winter and the decorations that come with our holidays, I'd like to ask you to take a few minutes after dark to make sure your house numbers are easily seen from the street. Our public safety officers need to be able to find your home quickly in case of an emergency and you want to make sure those beautiful Halloween or Christmas decorations aren't blocking the numbers when minutes and seconds can count. See you all soon!
